Swirl Flap Removal

We are getting more requests for swirl flap deletes, as owners and garages are starting to remove them due to problems with blockages building up on the flaps, and the flaps getting stuck in position as well.
Whilst the process of removing the Inlet Manifold Runners Control (IMRC) or swirl flaps is unique to each engine, with parts such as flaps, control rod, motor, wiring, all been removed or disabled in the mechanics own way.
IMRC are fitted to both gasoline and diesel vehicles and the common vehicles being requested for deletes to us are below, but a lot more engines use the technology.
The main point from a remapping point of view, is that Quantum Tuning can`t disable the way the IMRC works, meaning if the flaps are always open above 3000rpm normally, we don`t set that to 0rpm, which would be a IMRC open solution. Quantum Tuning can only offer a MIL / DTC erase of the codes generated by having the IMRC system removed/disabled, but we must have the MIL codes present at the time to turn them off. The vehicles below are all fine to have the MIL codes removed.
-
Mercedes C-Class - E-Class - ML-Class 220 CDI + 270 CDI
-
Jeep Commander-Compass 3.0 CRD
-
Audi A4/A6/A8/Q7 and VW Touareg / Phaeton with 2.7 V6 TDI and 3.0 TDI engines
-
BMW 320d + 330d + 335d + 5 Series
-
Vauxhall Vectra and Zafira 1.9 CDTi
-
VAG 2.0 TDI 170PS PPD
-
Audi RS4 4.2 V8 FSI
Only ECU`s where we have the ability to disable MIL codes, can we offer the IMRC code deletes.
Unfortunately, on a lot of gasoline ECU`s we can`t delete MIL codes on still, we working on it..
