On VAG EDC16, mainly 1.9 TDI Bosch EDC16, sometimes the KESSv2 will not read the ECU under the normal read option, but allows a read through the specials menu.

This special read will be blank, and is not any use.

Try to slow the speed of the transfer rate and retry the read button from the main option screen
