The older Ducatos 2.8 JTD have a 3 pin old OBD1 socket, located in the engine bay. You will need to use the universal cable with the KESSv2 unit. There is two 3 pin plugs behind the headlamp area on the left hand inner wing near the engine ECU. One has 3 connectors in it. This is the ABS connector. Do not use this one. The other has 2 connectors in it, this is the engine ECU connector. Centre wire is black and left hand wire is white and red. The white and red wire has 5V when ignition on and no load. The black wire has 0V

To connect, you must:

• Take the live and earth from the battery and connect to the KESSv2 universal cable 12v (red) and earth (black) coloured wires.
• Connect the KESSv2 universal cable K line lead (yellow) of to the left hand pin of the ECU connector White and Red wire.
• Connect nothing to the centre connector Black wire.
